John Rojas

The concerts I shall always treasure were the successful Saxophony ones with saxophone player Douglas Masek. Guest artists over the years included Janey Ball, Maria-Elizabeth Bezuidenhout and Shannon Mowday.

Keith’s ideas for repertoire included everything from the sublime to the rowdy, and we always looked for more of the latter. Keith was a master at arranging. He instinctively knew the saxophone’s capabilities while providing a suitable accompaniment. Sometimes he could be damn naughty and throw in some unsavoury stops on the Roland which caused havoc among the players.

Keith was a professional through and through. He was always supportive and if anyone had a dream he would go out of his way to help make it happen.

Thank you, Keith, for the privilege of being a part of your life.
